We are interested in the response of terrestrial ecosystems to the environment, and their role in the Earth\u2019s climate system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Our research focuses on C cycling in plants and soils, with expertise in the application of isotopes (mainly&nbsp;<sup>14<\/sup>C) as tracers of processes. &nbsp;Our overarching research question is: what is the fate of C in terrestrial ecosystems?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/ecoss.nau.edu\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Center for Ecosystem Science and Society<\/span> <\/a>(Ecoss) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cefns\/natsci\/biology\/\">Department of Biological Sciences<\/a> at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
